"The West Wing"

So, a new guy started in my department this week. He sits in the cube next to me. He is the quintisential frat boy. We can talk Hockey...other than that, we have nothing in common except job title. This brings me to my point...."The West Wing".

I know that the ratings for "The West Wing" have been on the downslide in the last few years, but how come the only TV shows my dept can talk about are: Battlestar Gallactica, Dave Chapell, Desperate Housewives, Battlestar Gallactica, Battlestar Gallactica,Battlestar Gallactica. Now, I don't think I am a TV snob, but why not "The West Wing". Does it somehow emasculate men to talk about something quick, witty, intellegent, and that requires some thought? Anyhow....heck with that...

Hmm...this post was quite pointless. At least I don't have to listen to "American Idol" talk.

Lexus

Today I got a call about my Lexus I am selling. I hate selling this car. I hate meeting people who might be interested in buying my car. I hate the people that waste me time to coming to look at it. Today was not a waste of time. The people did not buy my car, but that didn't matter to me. They were born and raised in Hungary and walked to Austria, dodging machine guns to escape. We talked for nearly four hours. I told them I didn't care if they bought the car or not, but they were going to come over for dinner. I loved the week I spent in Hungary more than any other place I have ever been. I hope that someday I will be able to joke with them about meeting them because they didn't buy my car. Why is it that I don't like people who are my age with their budding families? I almost dispise them, not because I don't have one, but because I don't learn anything new from them. I am drawn to older people; people that I can learn from; people with expierence that I admire and envy. Here's to the previous generations.

Somehow I Ended Up Here

Somehow, after months of thinking, I ended up here, with my own blog. I always considered myself very up-to-date, but I think I am choosing to stay behind the times lately. This Blog will be the first thing I have that is indigenous to the 21st century. That is of course, unless you count the Blackberry that my work requires me to carry, and the MP3 player I got for my birthday a few years back, quickly deemed useless and subsequently lost. So, I guess this is my embarkation into the Jetson's Era. Where is my jetpack anyway?
