Linnea's Lessons Learned at Her First 5k Race
>> Saturday, March 15, 2008
- Leave your car keys with someone at the finish line, or you might have to run the course a second time to find them.
- You should not only break your shoes in, but your socks as well.
- Check the elevation map before running it so you won’t be surprised with a 300 ft straight up incline in mile 2.
- Corporate sponsorship is worth it.
- A fruit rollup is not breakfast
- A high performance swimsuit works better than a sport bra to keep floppy parts from flopping.
- Having people you love at the finish line makes you feel fabulous!
- Runner’s High??? When does that kick in? Does it really exist?
- You can cut 15 minutes off your time on the day of the race!
- Running one may lead to wanting to run more.
