Planning

I could possibly be the least organized, least well planned person within some not-so unreasonable distance of my house. I hate making plans. What happens if something better comes along? It just stresses me out to think I have something that I am committed to do. Perhaps this is part of growing up? Anyhow, I bring this up because this year, we have to /had to request all our vacation leave from work by today (March 31st). I usually decide when I want a week off (or even a few days) no sooner than a week before I am read to commit to it. They changed the rules this year due to the Democratic National Convention. I guess the City of Denver is determined to make sure that nothing can go wrong, and if it does, my department is not allowed any vacations the week before, week of, and week after the convention, so we will be around to fix it ASAP. It is also because of the election. We have to be around those three weeks as well. The last big election Denver had was a disaster and many people were "released" from their positions because of it.
Anyhow, I waited until today (the last day possible) to request a week off in October. So....anyone have any ideas how Artur and I should spend that week? Suggestions? This will be the first time in my life I will have so long to plan it out. I love autumn! Ten bucks says I won't have made any final decisions until the night before we leave. That is unless any of you convince me there is something spectacular I need to start planning now :-)

You can come visit me! ;)
That's easy. Come to Philly! :) Of course, if you only have the one week off, you probably want to do something more exotic and exciting than Philly, but NYC and DC are close by too. maybe you've already done all that? anyway, we have another year left year, so I'd love to see ya!
